WESTJET TO LAUNCH NONSTOP SERVICE TO SRQ
The Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority (SMAA) is pleased to announce that WestJet will commence service to the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) effective December 18, 2015.
WestJet, a Canadian Low-Cost Carrier (LCC), will offer nonstop seasonal flights on Fridays and Sundays between the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) through April 29, 2016, using Boeing 737-700 aircraft (136 seats). The addition of WestJet brings the total number of air carriers serving SRQ to six (6).
WestJet flies to more than 90 destinations in over 20 countries, including the U.S. mainland, Hawaii, Mexico, Central America, Cuba, the Caribbean, and Europe. Rick Piccolo, President, Chief Executive Officer at SRQ stated: “We are thrilled to welcome WestJet to the Sarasota Bradenton area.
