International Strategy

Senior management at SRQ understands the importance to the community, our local businesses and especially the tourism and hospitality industry the impact of adding and building international service to the Sarasota Bradenton
area. SRQ is aggressively working to bring new and exciting destinations to our community. Below is a summary of
the international business strategy of the airport.
The International Development Strategy for SRQ Airport is:
  • Enhance international traffic through SRQ to maximum potential. This includes building greater flow traffic on US network carriers already serving SRQ.
  • Develop and grow traffic between international destinations and SRQ, focusing primarily on top ten international destinations from the top twenty list.
  • Target the most frequent traveled routes for future International service with both scheduled and charter service.
  • Increase SRQ visibility internationally to maximum potential.
  • Build and present strong business cases to carriers with potential for international service to SRQ.
  • Support both the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Sarasota Convention and Visitors Bureaus international development initiatives. Ensure foreign travelers learn.
