AMERICAN AIRLINES ANNOUNCES NONSTOP SERVICE TO PHILADELPHIA, PA (PHL)

American Airlines announced today they will add nonstop service from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ).  Service to PHL will begin on January 12, 2019, and last through September 1, 2019, with flights offered on Saturdays and Sundays using Embraer 175 aircraft.

Flight times are as follows:

Dep Station Dep Time Arv Station Arv Time
PHL 08:05 am SRQ 11:03 am
SRQ 11:47 am PHL 2:30 pm

“We are excited to see American Airlines add a third new destination at SRQ this year.  With daily service to Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) and Chicago (ORD) starting December 20, and Philadelphia (PHL) weekend service starting January 12, American Airlines will now provide a wide range of convenient choices and destinations for passengers using SRQ.

American is also upgrading their Charlotte (CLT) nonstop service from regional aircraft to larger Airbus A319 aircraft during peak season and will continue to offer daily service to Washington, D.C. (DCA).

We could not be happier with the growth American Airlines is providing at SRQ.  These new routes and larger aircraft will provide a significant upgrade in service for our visitors and local community,” said Rick Piccolo, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport president, chief executive officer.
