SRQ FBO RECEIVES FAA PART 145 CERTIFICATE
AirFlyte, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services Inc. (Rectrix), has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 145 Certification. This license recognizes AirFlyte as a national Certified Repair Station and allows them to provide full maintenance of corporate jet aircraft at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ). AirFlyte is located at the Rectrix Aerodrome Center Inc. Hangarminium site at 8080 15th Street East in Sarasota.
Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Westfield, MA, AirFlyte has been recognized by customers and peers as a leader in corporate aircraft maintenance. From scheduled inspections to engine swaps, their experience and abilities to accomplish every maintenance need is renowned. AirFlyte was acquired by Rectrix in January 2013. “AirFlyte’s attention to detail is impressive,” said Richard A. Cawley, Rectrix’ Chief Executive Officer. “Their high standards of maintenance are respected throughout the industry.” SRQ President, Chief Executive Officer, Fredrick “Rick” Piccolo, explains that “Having a fully certified maintenance station on airfield property, offering high quality amenities, certainly bodes well for SRQ as this type of growth is happening nationally.”
In related news, Rectrix has named Ashley Watts as President and Michael Murphy as the Director of Business Development. Watts has been with Rectrix at SRQ for seven years where she last served as the Vice President of Administration and Finance. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida.
